Vice-Chair of the steward Board: Rotating Responsibility
Stewards are appointed annually by the pastor and confirmed by the Quarterly Conference. They serve for a one year term.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Steward Board is responsible for the financial and spiritual governance of the church.
- Stewards are charged with overseeing the fiduciary interests of the church as well as establishing operating policies and procedures.
- The Steward Board approves new initiatives, programs, and capital expenses as recommended by the pastor.
- They shall seek the needy and distressed in order to relieve and comfort them.
- They shall make accurate reports of every expenditure of money, whether to the pastor, church, sick or poor.
- They shall register all baptisms, marriages, and deaths within the congregation.
- They shall provide the implements and elements for the Holy communion.
