What time are Worship Services?
Our Worship Service begins at 11:00 am (EST) and ends at approximately 12:15 - 12:30 pm (EST). Church School begins each Sunday at 10:00 a.m (EST). In addition, each Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm (EST), there is a Prayer Call-in w/Rev. Sandy where you can bring your prayer requests and praise reports. Each Wednesday at 5:00 pm (EST), there is an online Bible Study with the Pastor. We invite you to come experience the love of Christ and fellowship at Allen Temple.
What is your worship style?
Allen Temple is a teaching church and we invite you to come expecting to participate in a true WORSHIP experience! Our services are filled with songs and fellowship that make the atmosphere conducive for a life-changing Word from God to go forth. Please feel free to worship with us as we invite the Holy Spirit to dwell among us during our worship services, prayer and teaching opportunities.
What to wear?
Dress for worship varies from person to person. Many come to service in what is traditionally understood as their "Sunday Best", while a growing number of persons have adopted a more casual approach to dress. Whatever you decide, please come mindful that we gather to worship and God is more concerned with our hearts than He is with our wardrobe, however, we ask that whatever style you wear, you will be mindful that it be tasteful.
What to do with the childrens?
We love and appreciate children at Allen Temple. We enjoy having them be a part of the worship experience. If your child gets cranky or needs to leave the sanctuary, that is totally your choice. Our Ushers will be more than happy to assist you with whatever you choose to do.
Can someone pray or talk with me?
Absolutely. When you arrive at Allen Temple, please inform any Usher that you would like someone to pray and/or talk with you. Our Ushers are trained to ensure that the pastors be made aware of your request and they will pray with you and arrange a special dedicated time and date to speak with you. We also have a weekly prayer call-in available each Tuesday via Zoom from 7:00 pm (EST) to 7:20 pm (EST) by calling (929) 205-6099 or logging into Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/3369791845?, the Meeting ID is 336 979 1845.
How can I get involved and become a member of Allen Temple AME Church in Phenix City, Alabama?
Near the close of every worship service, the pastor will offer an "Invitation to a Relationship with Christ" to the church with an invitation to Christian Discipleship and another invitation to join and be a part of the Allen Temple A.M.E. Church family. All are welcomed to be a part of this Christ's church -- give the Pastor your hand, and God your heart and come join the Allen Temple family and fellowship. You will be warmly welcomed by our officers and members and assigned a Class Leader who will be your membership mentor. We hope to see you soon at Allen Temple AME Church!
